Tearin' up the decks on day 1

Pleasuremaker and I arrived in San Fran late on Sunday night after kickin' it with some old friends in Portland. The drive was beautiful.

Monday night Pleasuremaker, Oz and I spun some records down at Tunnel Top near Union Square. The vibe was cool, and some quality heads came out.

Definitely a dope evening. I'm diggin' the SF vibe already for sure.

Also, I've already secured a nice apartment I'll be moving into next week. Everyone keeps telling me how lucky my ass is for finding a spot so quickly. Hopefully that same luck will employ me soon, cuz I'm gonna need some cash quickly in this expensive effin' city.

New City.

So I've finally made my move down to the Bay Area. I am living with my homey Pleasuremaker for a minute while I find myself a pad. Things are good so far, we all torn the decks up last night at Tunnel Top by rotating DJs. It was defintely a good vibe. Especially with the dancefloor bangin' on a Monday night. I'll post some pics as soon as I locate my camera cord that is amidst my car full of shit from the move.

Today Joey, Oz and I made some breakfast and drank heaps of coffee while trippin' out to this sick comp. I picked up a while back.

Stay tuned for many more posts as my FUNemployed ass will be hitin' SF hard these next couple weeks while I get to know the city.

Saturday was great.

I walked around Capitol Hill for a while and then decided to hit up my favorite sushi spot on the hill, Sushi Maki. It is not quite to the level of Mashiko in West Seattle but I doubt there are many better places than that joint in the States (for real). Sushi Maki is about the size of a closet with two tiny tables outside. The sushi is not too expensive and mad good.

Later, I drank a bottle of PetrĂ³n with some friends that I snagged duty-free on my way back from Alaska. We were celebrating my homie Nick's b-day. He is really rocking the rat tail hard these days.

Afterward, I went back over to Capitol Hill to meet up with some friends and check out this party that turned out to be a dope space filled with wack people. The music was weak as well. So we decided to peace.

Just as I thought the night was winding down we ran into this bohemian-style marching band on Pike that was amazing. They instantly had a couple hundred people following them as we all paraded drunkenly through the hood.

Eventually we wound up in the center of Cal Anderson Park. What was so great about it was that people were so into it they kept following the marching band long after they were done playing like they had no where else to go.

I am gonna miss Seatown big time. San Francisco here I come.

Karlore can fuck anything!

Blowfly is still killin' it.

Saw Blowfly do his thing at the Funhouse. Played hoops for a minute before the show (yep, they've got a hoop on their patio). My white ass can't dunk for shit. Good night indeed.

Can't touch this but feel free to 'Ram It'.

The NFL needs to get their shit together and put out more videos like these classics. The Superbowl Shuffle is for suckas!
